Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Passes Resolution Supporting Austerity Measures

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly unanimously passed a resolution endorsing the prime minister’s austerity campaign. Moved by PML-N lawmaker Amina Sardar, the resolution emphasized adopting austerity as both a government measure and national attitude.

Austerity to be Promoted in Educational Institutions

The text of the resolution called for responsible use of energy and resources in government institutions. It recommended gradual reduction of unnecessary expenditures and privileges, with austerity also introduced into educational curricula.

Specific Measures Proposed

The resolution proposed implementing a one-dish policy at weddings, closing marriage halls by 10pm and shopping malls by 9pm. It also advocated reducing the number of personnel in district administrations.
