PESHAWAR – KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi announced the official commencement of registration for “Rehayi Tehreek” (Release Movement for PTI Founder) at a ceremony in Peshawar. He emphasized that all legal avenues have been exhausted and expressed frustration over being denied meetings with his party leader.
Afridi Criticizes Passport Blocking, Media Coverage
The Chief Minister criticized the blocking of his passport and restricted access to official routes, stating that even prison doors at Adiala Jail are not being opened for him. He also condemned media coverage, saying it selectively portrays government officials negatively.
Commitment to Legal Protest Underlined
Afridi reiterated his commitment to legal and peaceful protest, stressing that the issue concerns the life and health of their leader, not elections or constituencies. Registration will include nationwide membership and oath-taking ceremonies, urging youth to stay aware as the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa establishment department has been dissolved.
