
A resolution has been submitted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly proposing the nomination of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar for the Nobel Peace Prize.
The resolution was submitted by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MPA Shehla Bano to the Assembly Secretariat.
According to the text of the resolution, the effective diplomacy of the country’s civil-military leadership has helped create conditions for peace and stability in the region. It further stated that ongoing tensions between Israel, the United States, and Iran had posed serious threats to global peace, and the situation could have escalated into a broader international crisis.
The resolution also called for formally recognizing the services of the three by nominating them for the Nobel Peace Prize in acknowledgement of their contributions to promoting peace.
