
Lahore’s government schools will commence annual exams on March 9, 2026, in two shifts. The morning session runs from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with the afternoon shift scheduled for 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, though Fridays feature an extended 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM session.
The schedule is structured in two shifts:
– **First Shift (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM):**
– Grade 1 students will face the English exam.
– Grade 2 scholars tackle General Knowledge.
– Grade 3 pupils begin with Islamic Studies/Ethics, while those in Grade 4 are scheduled for Mathematics.
– **Second Shift (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM):**
– For Grade 5 students, the inaugural exam is in Islamic Studies/Ethics.
– In Grade 6, Mathematics serves as their first subject.
– Grade 7 starts with Computer Science and Arabic.
– Finally, Grade 8 begin with Mathematics.
Special exams for Quran Recitation, Translation, and Tajweed will also be incorporated into the examination structure. Additionally, special assessments for Reading, Listening, and Speaking are part of the curriculum. For 8th-grade students, School-Based Assessment (SBA) tests in subjects including Mathematics, Urdu, English, and Science will occur at designated exam centers.
