Lena Dunham Confesses to Cheating in Memoir
The actress and writer revealed her affair with music producer Jack Antonoff during their five-year relationship, admitting she was aware of his close ties with a teen pop star. The revelation comes from her new memoir, Famesick.
Dunham’s infidelity came after a particularly bad argument following her hysterectomy surgery in 2017, which led to her entering rehab for pain medication addiction. During this time, Antonoff was on tour and she ended up reconnecting with Nick, an old friend from childhood.
The actress admitted that during the relationship’s final stages, she had been intimate with Nick while still seeing Antonoff on a tour schedule. The affair culminated in them getting engaged before Dunham’s rehab stint in 2018.
Antonoff has also faced infidelity rumors due to his close association with a young pop star, who reportedly wept into his lap when he returned home one day.
