Justice Waheed Khan in Lahore High Court rejected bail plea for Israr Majeed accused of blackmailing female doctor. The defendant allegedly made immoral video and used it for extortion.
The prosecution stated that the suspect, a former driver at private hospital, conspired with security guard to install cameras in doctor’s house washroom. He recorded inappropriate footage and demanded Rs2.5 million from the doctor. FIA arrested him after complaint from doctor’s son.
Defense argued that accused had been jailed for 10 months and truth would emerge during trial. However, court dismissed bail request citing nature of alleged act did not make suspect eligible for release.
