Madonna Discloses Source of Comfort: An Octopus Named Octavia
On Monday, June 29, Vague shared a video on YouTube featuring the Queen of Pop. In the clip, Madonna, the 67-year-old American singer-songwriter and record producer, revealed that she sleeps with her purple stuffed octopus named Octavia every night.
Octavia was gifted by her sister after her hospitalization in June 2023 due to sepsis and bacterial infection. The name Octavia is inspired by a nurse named Olivia who became her rock during the time of her hospitalization.
Olivia truly inspired Madonna, who recalled that she was screaming at me every day, telling me I needed to get up, I needed to get out of the ICU, and she really gave me a lot of courage and hope.”
When Madonna got out of the hospital and came home, her sister gifted her Octavia. She loves her and adores her despite the stuffing being gross.
It is pertinent to mention that Madonna has three sisters: Paula, Melanie, and Jennifer. However, it was not revealed which sister gifted her Octavia.
