Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has issued directives for enhanced security measures across the province. During a recent meeting, she ordered additional personnel deployment in bazaars during Chand Raat.

The Chief Minister also instructed the use of women police squads to prevent harassment incidents and ensure safety for women and children in public areas. Surveillance using drone cameras and night-vision devices is being directed for markets and business zones.

Security around ATMs and banks has been prioritized, with continuous monitoring at bus terminals and wagon stands mandated by transport officials. Additionally, fare lists must be prominently displayed on vehicle windscreens to ensure compliance with notified fares.
