The Punjabi Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has inaugurated a new public welfare program designed to safeguard both local residents and tourists within the bustling hill station of Murree. This initiative comes as part of ongoing efforts to ensure safety in one of Pakistan’s most renowned vacation spots.

Integrating state-of-the-art technology, a modern “Pink Button” system has been put into operation in Murree. When activated during an emergency, this feature allows immediate communication with the police force, streamlining response times and coordination processes.

District police officials highlighted that Murree is not just a popular tourist destination; it caters to thousands of visitors each year. The government’s commitment to upholding security has placed it as a top priority for all levels of administration in the region.

Under this new initiative, pressing the Pink Button button can swiftly connect users with the relevant police unit, thereby reducing response delays and enhancing overall operational efficiency. District Police Officer Raza Tanveer Sapra emphasized that this service is intended to provide prompt assistance during emergencies while simultaneously bolstering residents’ sense of security.

The launch of the “Pink Button” system underscores the Punjabi government’s dedication to ensuring a safe environment for visitors, demonstrating its proactive stance in public welfare and safety.
