Amir Muqam, the Federal Minister for Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs, underscored during an open court session at Fizagat, Swat, that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have repeatedly entrusted power to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) yet continue to face challenges. Muqam highlighted instances where strikes, roadblocks, and difficulties in accessing essential services mar the lives of residents.

Muqam’s comments were a reaction to public grievances brought forth at the open court session. He expressed frustration over issues such as flight cancellations due to blockades, patients struggling in ambulance journeys, and disrupted food supply chains. The Minister stated that PTI’s 2018 ban on gas connections within Malakand has been lifted, with efforts underway to restore service projects across various areas.

Muqam also addressed a broader promise by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif: the federal government is committed to providing relief without favoritism. He reaffirmed that his party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), believes in public service and genuine political activism aimed at addressing public issues effectively. Muqam assured that PML-N will continue its efforts to resolve these challenges across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Muqam’s statements came as a call for accountability during the next election, indicating that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are on the lookout for solutions and improvement.
