The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has announced that it will introduce an E-Marking system for the first time in the 2025 annual exams, initially applying it only to the ninth-grade mathematics (Paper 1) exam.

According to BSEK Examination Controller Zaheeruddin Bhutto, the board has conducted training workshops for subject experts to familiarize them with E-Marking and Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) techniques. The trained teachers have been advised to educate students about the new system to ensure a smooth transition.

To further assist students and teachers, the board has uploaded an instructional video about E-Marking and OMR on its official website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel.
