Mild 3.4 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Karachi and Pasni

A mild earthquake shook Karachi and Balochistan, causing panic among citizens. According to the Seismological Centre, a 3.4 magnitude quake was recorded in Malir area of the City with depth at 10-kilometre.

Earthquake tremors were also felt in Pasni area of Balochistan, intensity recorded at 4.5 on Richter scale, depth 13 kilometres underground and epicenter 48 kilometres southwest of Pasni.

Earlier Friday, tremors were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and other cities with a magnitude of 5.5 on Richter scale, depth 199 kilometers. Epicenter located in Hindu Kush mountain region of Afghanistan.
