Elect-Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah reaffirmed his allegiance to Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, proclaiming him as the future of the nation.

Emphasizing the importance of national security and stability, Shah vowed to eradicate street crime, including operations against criminal elements. Shah’s speech marked his third address to the Sindh Assembly following his election as Chief Minister.

Beginning with a verse from the Quran, he invoked divine guidance and blessings for his tenure, recalling his previous terms in the assembly with gratitude. Expressing appreciation for his family’s support and invoking the memory of his late leader, Shah paid tribute to the enduring influence of his political mentor, the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.

He recounted moments of solidarity and challenge, including his incarceration and the steadfast support of his party during testing times. Acknowledging the challenges of his position, Shah thanked the assembly members for their trust and underscored his commitment to democratic principles.

He pledged to work collaboratively with the opposition and ensure the rule of law, despite reservations about the election process. Responding to queries about his electoral success, Murad attributed it to his understanding of the people’s needs and vowed to address grievances within the legal framework, prioritizing national security above all else.

Syed Murad Ali Shah, addressing the challenges and opportunities ahead, outlined a bold vision for governance in Sindh. Referring to the 2024 elections as a turning point, Shah emphasized the need to surpass previous records and serve the people more effectively. He extended a call to the opposition, urging them to play a constructive role in utilizing the platform of the assembly for the betterment of the public. Security and development were highlighted as top priorities, with a focus on eradicating terrorism and addressing street crime, particularly in rural areas.

Shah expressed gratitude to Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqar, highlighting the importance of collaboration between the government and opposition for progress. Shah credited the PPP’s victory to Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s leadership, emphasizing his commitment to addressing the needs of the people. Initiatives such as solar energy projects for 200,000 homes and the expansion of healthcare services were announced, underscoring the government’s dedication to improving living standards.

In his closing remarks, Shah condemned injustices in Palestine and Kashmir, reaffirming his commitment to global humanitarian causes.
