Naval Chief Highlights Maritime Threats Amidst Middle East Situation

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf highlighted emerging threats in the maritime domain during the Command and Staff Conference of the Pakistan Navy held at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad. The conference was chaired by Admiral Ashraf, attended by principal staff officers and field commanders to review operational preparedness.

Admiral Ashraf emphasized maintaining perpetual combat readiness against traditional and non-traditional challenges in the maritime domain amid a volatile security situation across strategic choke points. He underscored the importance of acquiring niche and cutting-edge technologies as an absolute strategic necessity for the Pakistan Navy.

The forum commemorated the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, paying tribute to sacrifices made during the May 2025 conflict. Admiral Ashraf remarked that the historic triumph stands as a testament to national unity and resolve against external aggression.

Participants reviewed operational preparedness, ongoing initiatives, and upcoming events, aligning naval priorities with evolving regional maritime security imperatives.
