Nawaz Names Shehbaz Sharif as PM Candidate, Maryam Nawaz for Punjab CM

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided to nominate Shehbaz Sharif as its candidate for the position of Prime Minister.

Additionally, sources revealed that PML-N Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz will be put forward as the candidate for the Punjab Chief Minister’s position.

The final announcement regarding the prime ministerial candidate will be made in conjunction with allied parties. It’s noteworthy that Nawaz Sharif has given his approval for both Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz to assume these roles.

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif expressed thanks to former President Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari for pledging their support to the PML-N.

Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his appreciation via a post on X (formerly Twitter), mentioning his telephonic conversation with Zardari and Bhutto-Zardari. He conveyed Nawaz Sharif’s gratitude for their support and expressed hope for collective efforts between PML-N and PPP to navigate the country through political and economic challenges.
