
The Hajj flight operation to Saudi Arabia has entered its final phase. According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, 114,078 pilgrims (96 per cent) have reached the holy cities via the ‘Route to Makkah’ initiative and other scheduled flights.
10 more flights carrying the remaining four per cent (4,756 pilgrims) are due to arrive in Saudi Arabia on Thursday night. The transit from Madinah to Makkah has been completed, bringing the total number of pilgrims currently stationed in Makkah to 114,078.
A team of 1,520 welfare officers and related staff, along with 947 local assistants, is working round-the-clock to facilitate Hajj pilgrims. The Pakistan Hajj Mission reported that 23,823 pilgrims have been guided through the routes to the Grand Mosque in Makkah so far, while 42,858 pilgrims have paid their respects at the Riaz-ul-Jannah in Madinah.
Comprehensive healthcare facilities are being provided to pilgrims with 86,924 patients visiting the outdoor patient departments of the dedicated mission clinics and dispensaries in Makkah and Madinah. Out of 2,118 accommodation, catering, and transport-related complaints received, 1,629 have been promptly resolved. The mission successfully recovered and handed over 6,820 missing baggage items out of 6,845 reported lost.
