Rescuers in La Guaira, north of Caracas, successfully saved a newborn baby from a collapsed building 32 hours after twin earthquakes devastated the city.

The rescue operation was captured on video by Andreina Quintero, showing rescuers carefully passing the infant to one another before cleaning and wrapping them in a quilt.

According to Quintero, the baby was just 18 days old and uninjured when found. The child’s mother was rescued an hour later.

In a follow-up video, Quintero showed the mother recovering in a hospital bed, with medical personnel confirming no injuries to the infant.
