Nicola Peltz has stepped away from Yogi’s House, the dog rescue charity she co-founded in 2022.
The Los Angeles-based non-profit now lists Emma Kenney as its sole founder on its website. Nicola, who was previously described as a founding partner, is no longer mentioned. She has also unfollowed the charity on social media.
In a statement to Daily Mail, Nicola did not explain her departure from the organization. However, a spokesperson addressed the move in an exchange with the press. “Nicola is humbled by the work Yogi’s House does to support dog welfare in California,” they said.
“Nicola is proud to have been a founding partner of Yogi’s House and is currently considering other opportunities to support dog welfare in any way possible. This is her true passion in life, and she will never give up on the dogs.”
This development comes months after Nicola and husband Brooklyn Beckham’s reported family rift made headlines. Earlier this year, Brooklyn claimed one reason for their fallout with his parents was Victoria Beckham’s alleged refusal to support a fundraiser for dogs affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.
Brooklyn said Nicola had asked Victoria to support the campaign, but she declined. Nicola has long been outspoken about animal welfare and filed legal action against a dog groomer after claiming their Chihuahua, Nala, died after what they described as a routine grooming appointment.
