
The Cambridge Assessment International Education is set to kick off its O Level and A Level examinations in Pakistan, scheduled from April 25 to June 13.
Approximately 100,000 students from various regions of Pakistan are gearing up to sit for the Cambridge exams during the May/June 2024 examination session.
Karachi alone will witness over 40,000 students appearing for the Cambridge exams, with an additional 15,000 students from across the country taking the exams as private candidates. Among these, approximately 6,000 students from Karachi are registered as private candidates. The country has established about 100 examination centers, with Karachi hosting around 20 of them.
Popular Cambridge O Level subjects in Pakistan include Pakistan Studies, Islamiat, mathematics, English, and Urdu. Meanwhile, at the A Level, subjects such as physics, mathematics, business, chemistry, and computer science top the list of preferences among students.
With approximately 800 schools across Pakistan affiliated with the Cambridge system, including 200 in Karachi alone.
