Over 240 Drone Attacks Foiled in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Report Claims

In 2026, police and law enforcement agencies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa thwarted several drone attack attempts across the province.

An official report on Sunday revealed a total of 246 such attacks were recorded.

The Bannu region saw the highest number with 215 incidents.

Other areas also reported attempted attacks; Dera Ismail Khan had 15, Malakand 7, and Peshawar 4.

Two attempts each were foiled in Mardan and Kohat, while one incident occurred in Hazara division.

Police officials stated that all these attacks were prevented using advanced anti-drone technology, ensuring no casualties or damage. Authorities remain vigilant amid ongoing security concerns in the region.
