Tensions escalated sharply overnight as India launched a coordinated drone attack on multiple locations across Pakistan. Pakistan’s armed forces intercepted and neutralized 12 of the drones, according to military spokesperson Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif.
In a televised address, Lt Gen Sharif stated that India used Harop drones in the strike. One drone targeted a military facility in Lahore, injuring four soldiers. A civilian also lost their life in Miano due to the assault.
The military confirmed drone interceptions in Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Attock, Bahawalpur, Miano, Chhor, and most recently reports of a drone being neutralized in Karachi.
