
Pakistan is grappling with an intense heatwave as temperatures soar to a staggering 49 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast for the next 24 hours, predicting hot and dry conditions across most parts of the country.
In contrast, some northern areas are experiencing rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds. Rainfall was recorded in several regions, including 5 mm in Gupis, 4 mm in Sost, 3 mm in Chilas, and 9 mm in Muzaffarabad Airport.
The highest temperature today reached 49 degrees Celsius in Jacobabad, while Dadu, Larkana, and Padidan recorded temperatures of 48 degrees. In Islamabad, the mercury hit 38 degrees, with Sibbi reaching 47 degrees, Nokundi, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, and Dera Ghazi Khan recording 44 degrees, Lahore at 41 degrees, Karachi at 35 degrees, Peshawar at 40 degrees, and Dera Ismail Khan at 42 degrees.
