Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, spoke on NBC’s “Meet the Press” about ongoing high-level diplomatic efforts regarding ceasefire and negotiations. He highlighted Pakistan’s role as facilitator in these processes, with support from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, and other partners.

The negotiation process initiated in Islamabad has been characterized by a constructive spirit, according to Sheikh. Dialogue and mutual understanding are seen as key to resolving issues, he added.

Sheikh reiterated that the responsibility for resolving outstanding matters lies with the concerned parties, not Pakistan. Both Pakistan and the international community remain hopeful for a peaceful resolution of the conflict, emphasizing the need for diplomacy to be given full opportunity at this time.
