Saudi Arabia’s Defence Ministry announced on Saturday that Pakistani forces, including fighter jets and support aircraft, arrived at King Abdulaziz Air Base under a bilateral defense agreement between the two countries.

The deployment took place at the airbase which was targeted by drone and missile attacks during the recent Iran conflict. The move is aimed at enhancing joint military coordination and reinforcing security and stability at both regional and international levels, according to the ministry.

The defence pact, signed in September, stipulates that any attack on one country would be considered an attack on both.
