Pakistani authorities have been hailed as a vital bulwark against global terror threats in recent weeks. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi highlighted Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to safeguarding the world from acts of violence. His comments came after Italian and European Union officials condemned a deadly suicide attack in Islamabad, expressing solidarity with the victims and their families.

The interior minister addressed media on Friday, recounting how Pakistan has long been at the forefront of international security efforts, including its historical military engagement with India. He commended the nation’s armed forces for their strategic and successful tactics against terrorism.

Naqvi also received calls from Italian Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi and European Commissioner Magnus Brunner. Both leaders echoed his sentiment, expressing dismay over the recent incident in Islamabad and reaffirming their commitment to combatting terror together.

“We express our deepest sorrow over this tragic loss and extend our heartfelt condolences to all those affected,” said Piantedosi. “Italy stands with Pakistan during these challenging times.”

Commissioner Brunner noted that terrorism remains a grave concern for both nations, urging a collective response from the global community to address it effectively.

Naqvi underscored the necessity of concerted international action against terror threats, emphasizing that stronger and more coordinated strategies are required globally to confront this persistent menace. He thanked Piantedosi and Commissioner Brunner for their unwavering support in bolstering joint security efforts between Pakistan and its allies.

In turn, both Italian officials praised Pakistan’s role as a guardian of global peace and safety, promising continued collaboration against the scourge of terrorism.
