Pakistan Slams India’s Terrorism Allegations, Condemns Israel in West Bank

Pakistan denounced India’s alleged involvement in terrorism within its territory and accused New Delhi of launching anti-Pakistan propaganda. They also warned about the threat posed by recent Israeli actions concerning the West Bank.

At a weekly media briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had visited Doha at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar. Both sides agreed to deepen cooperation in various sectors, including discussions on Afghanistan and defense collaboration.

Andrabi highlighted that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar would soon depart for Saudi Arabia to present Pakistan’s stance at an OIC executive committee meeting. He reiterated Pakistan’s firm condemnation of Israel’s decision to transform parts of the West Bank into state land, describing it as unacceptable and a violation of international law.

Andrabi also marked the 19th anniversary of the Samjhauta Express attack, during which over seventy individuals perished. In his statement, he condemned India for its “callousness” in releasing four convicted individuals from custody. He demanded that all those involved be brought to justice.

Andrabi addressed concerns regarding Afghanistan, stating that Pakistan’s actions are aimed at combating terrorism and not the Afghan people. He noted that documented evidence of such acts has been presented to the United Nations Security Council.

While welcoming Qatar’s efforts to promote reconciliation between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Andrabi criticized threatening statements from Kabul as regrettable. He emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces and law enforcement agencies remain prepared to respond to any threats.

Andrabi mentioned the protests in Israel during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit and observed encouragingly that conscientious voices still exist there. He acknowledged defense cooperation between India and Israel, stating that Pakistan is ready for any potential threats to regional peace.
