Pakistan executed precision strikes targeting terrorist hideouts within Iranian borders. Codenamed ‘Marg Bar Sarmachar,’ the Intelligence-based operation resulted in the elimination of several terrorists. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement, asserting Pakistan’s unyielding commitment to safeguard national security.

Over recent years, Pakistan had consistently expressed concerns about safe havens for terrorists, especially those of Pakistani origin, within ungoverned spaces in Iran. Multiple dossiers containing concrete evidence were shared with Iran, highlighting the presence and activities of these terrorists. Lamenting the lack of action on these concerns, Pakistan justified the operation based on credible intelligence of impending large-scale terrorist activities by these groups.

The statement emphasized that Pakistan’s action was a manifestation of its unwavering resolve to protect national security. The success of the complex operation underscored the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces. The Foreign Office reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to taking all necessary steps to preserve the safety and security of its people, emphasizing that this commitment was non-negotiable.

“Our resolve to ensure that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan is respected and safeguarded against any misadventure, remains unwavering. We reaffirm our determination to defeat all enemies of Pakistan with the support of the people of Pakistan,” the military’s media wing said.

Pakistan affirmed its respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran, clarifying that the sole objective of the operation was to secure Pakistan’s own interests and national security. The country, as a responsible member of the international community, vowed not to allow challenges to its sovereignty and territorial integrity under any pretext.

Expressing the enduring brotherly relationship with Iran, the statement conveyed Pakistan’s respect and affection for the Iranian people. While emphasizing dialogue and cooperation to address common challenges, including terrorism, Pakistan affirmed its commitment to finding joint solutions.
