Pakistan secured the toss and chose to field first in their final One-Day International against Bangladesh at Dhaka’s Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) highlighted that ODI captain Shaheen Afridi had made this strategic decision, which was shared on X.

Today’s lineup saw Ghazi Ghori and Saad Masood making their ODI debuts for Pakistan. In the team’s previous match on Friday, they defeated Bangladesh by a substantial margin of 128 runs via the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method, securing a 1-1 series tie after the hosts won the opening encounter.

Following Friday’s game, Salman Ali Agha was sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for breaching Level 1 of its code of conduct. This occurred during Bangladesh’s batting in the second ODI match on Saturday.

In today’s scheduled contest, Pakistan’s line-up includes Sahibzada Farhan, Maaz Sadaqat, Ghazi Ghori, Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, Abdul Samad, Saad Masood, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Abrar Ahmed. Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s starting XI consists of Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Saif Hassan, Tanzil Hossain Tamim, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Tawhid Hridoy, Litton Kumer Das, Afif Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Rishad Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, and Nahid Rana. More details are expected to emerge in the coming hours.
