DOHA: Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar and Indonesia have signed the Badr Memorandum of Understanding to deepen cooperation in defence production and capabilities.
The agreement was signed on October 21 and covers joint development, military training, research and development and technical cooperation. The four countries aim to strengthen their respective defence industries through shared work.
The pact represents a further step in growing defence collaboration among the participating nations, several of which already maintain close military ties.
The signing follows broader diplomatic efforts to build partnerships in the region and beyond. Officials involved described the memorandum as a framework for long term industrial cooperation rather than a one off arrangement.
Further details on the specific projects to emerge from the agreement are expected in the coming months.
