Pakistan’s Mobile Phone Imports Jump By Nearly 120% in First Half of FY24

During the initial six months (July-December) of the fiscal year 2023-24, Pakistan has observed a substantial surge in mobile phone imports, amounting to $792.612 million.

This noteworthy increase represents a growth of 118.45% when compared to the corresponding period in the previous fiscal year, which saw imports totaling $362.841 million.

Data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reveals that mobile phone imports continued their upward trajectory, experiencing a 20.16% Month-on-Month (MoM) surge in December 2023. In that month, imports reached $176.093 million, surpassing the November 2023 figure of $146.549 million.
