Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) convenes key meetings for team overhaul
The PCB has called crucial meetings this week to discuss a significant restructuring of the national team’s management. The board’s Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, will lead these sessions on Friday and Saturday.
While no formal agenda has been released, media reports suggest discussions will focus on Test captaincy, coaching staff, and broader reforms. Former captains Younis Khan and Mohammad Hafeez are leading candidates for head coach and Director of International Cricket roles respectively.
Current Test captain Shan Masood and head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed could be relieved of their duties. Naqvi is seen as the frontrunner to succeed Masood. Sarfaraz, however, may continue his association with Pakistan cricket in some form, possibly through the Pakistan Shaheens franchise.
