
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Vienna, Austria, on a two-day official visit invited by Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker. Upon his arrival at Vienna International Airport, the Pakistani delegation was met with a warm welcome and presented with a ceremonial guard of honor by the Austrian armed forces.
During this trip, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will engage in various high-level meetings, including one with Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker. They are expected to discuss ways to boost bilateral and trade ties between their nations, which is set to be a highlight of the visit. This meeting will also feature prominent business figures aimed at fostering economic cooperation.
Moreover, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will address the Pakistan-Austria Business Forum during his stay. The forum promises to explore avenues for increased investment exchanges between the two countries. He will also participate in an exclusive United Nations event where he is expected to deliver a speech on the theme of “Sustainable Development: The Path to Global Peace and Prosperity.”
In addition, Shehbaz Sharif will meet with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with the Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and SAPM Tariq Fatemi, is accompanying him on this important mission.
This visit aims to strengthen diplomatic relations and economic ties between Pakistan and Austria, furthering mutual interests in various fields such as trade, investment, sustainable development, and global peace.
