ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended a call to his Saudi counterpart, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The conversation occurred amid rising tensions in the Middle East, particularly following Israel’s attack on Iran and subsequent strikes against several Gulf states.
In their phone call, PM Sharif expressed deep concern over these developments, strongly condemning both the Israeli action and its repercussions across the region. He pledged Pakistan’s unwavering support for Saudi Arabia, underscoring his country’s commitment to standing solidly by Saudi allies in times of trial.
Sharif emphasized that such aggressive acts threaten regional peace and stability further, warning against any escalation. He vowed Pakistan would remain staunchly supportive of Saudi sovereignty, security, and integrity at all times.
The prime minister also indicated readiness for Pakistan to contribute positively through constructive engagement, hoping that the blessings of Ramadan would bring about soon a return to peaceful harmony in the region.
