Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the information technology ministry and other relevant departments to transform federal government offices into paperless workspaces by implementing the e-office system.

“There will be no tolerance for any delay in the rollout of the e-office system,” the prime minister asserted in a statement on Sunday.

Starting next month, PM Shehbaz will no longer accept physical files, mandating that all government work be conducted through the e-office platform. “I will not see any file other than those in the e-office system from the next month onwards,” he declared, signaling his dedication to digitizing government operations.

The federal government has prioritized the “implementation of the e-office system” to enhance transparency and efficiency in its operations.

PM Shehbaz adeed that all government offices must adopt the e-office platform for managing and processing files. The staff at the Prime Minister’s Office recently completed their training on the system.

He has requested a progress report on the e-office system’s implementation across government offices within the next two weeks.

By moving to the e-office platform, the government aims to improve transparency, streamline workflows, and reduce the dependence on physical documents.
