President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir sent separate messages on Wednesday to extend greetings of Eidul Azha to all Pakistanis and the Muslim Ummah. They highlighted that Eidul Azha reminds Muslims of obedience to Allah, patience, loyalty, sincerity, and sacrifice as seen in the noble legacy of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS).

President Zardari emphasized that true sacrifice involves making space in our hearts for others and remembering those who are underprivileged. He added that Eidul Azha teaches us that sacrifice is not just a religious obligation but also a moral message, with true success lying in piety, sincerity, service, and empathy towards humanity.

Quoting a Hadith from the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), President Zardari stated, “The most beloved people to Allah are those who benefit others the most.” He urged for support of the poor, orphans, widows, laborers, persons with disabilities, and those silently enduring hardship during Eid celebrations.

Zardari also stressed on promoting love, tolerance, and honesty in national life. He concluded by praying for peace, stability, prosperity, unity, development, and well-being for Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed similar sentiments on X, emphasizing the importance of sacrifice, unity, and solidarity for lasting progress and prosperity. He called for sharing Eid’s joys with those in need and reaffirming commitment to unity, brotherhood, and service to humanity. He also expressed solidarity with oppressed people in Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu jointly extended greetings on the occasion of Eidul Azha. They prayed for lasting peace, prosperity, and unity in Pakistan while paying tribute to the resilience of Pakistani people and sacrifices made by martyrs, armed forces personnel, law enforcement agencies, and citizens.

The military leadership emphasized their steadfast commitment to defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. They also pledged support for peace and stability, noting that the sacrifices of Shuhada-e-Pakistan have strengthened the nation’s foundations.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar wished all Muslims in Pakistan and around the world Eidul Azha Mubarak.
