The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a warning about an ongoing severe cold wave, particularly impacting Islamabad and northern regions.
Temperatures in northern districts are expected to plunge below zero, with frost likely in Islamabad, the Potohar region, and parts of Punjab during morning hours. The current temperature in Islamabad is recorded at 10°C.
Authorities have urged farmers to plan operations cautiously, considering potential frost, and advised residents to limit outdoor exposure during cold, windy nights and mornings. Tourists visiting mountainous areas are also advised to exercise caution.
The PMD predicts the cold and dry spell will persist nationwide until December 14.
