Militants Attacked Police Squad Protecting Polio Team
A policeman, Israrul Haq from Shangla, was killed in Hangu when militants attacked a police squad assigned to protect a polio vaccination team. Four other officers were injured during the firefight.
The incident occurred near Chapri Waziran in Thall Police Station area. The wounded have been taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police confirmed that medical care is being provided to the injured and a search operation has been launched to locate the attackers.
