President Asif Ali Zardari has extended heartfelt greetings on Eid ul Azha to the Pakistani people, overseas Pakistanis, and the Muslim Ummah. In his message for this year’s Eidul Azha 1447 Hijra, he emphasized that sacrifice is not just a religious obligation but also a moral message of obedience to Allah Almighty, patience, sincerity, and great sacrifice demonstrated by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS).
Zardari highlighted the importance of true success lying in piety, sincerity, service to humanity, and compassion for others. He pointed out that according to a Hadith from the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), the most beloved person to Allah is one who benefits people the most.
The president also stressed that Eidul Azha underscores the significance of sacrifice, tolerance, discipline, honesty, mutual respect in national life and urged citizens to uphold unity despite differences. He called for promoting love, tolerance, dialogue over hatred and division, and working towards the welfare of weaker segments of society.
Zardari further encouraged respecting the law, maintaining a clean environment, contributing to Pakistan’s development, and transforming the spirit of sacrifice into a year-round way of life through compassion, decency in attitudes, love, justice, and loyalty to the homeland. He concluded by praying for Allah Almighty’s blessings, acceptance of prayers and sacrifices, piety, alleviation of difficulties for deserving individuals, and peace, unity, stability, progress, and prosperity for Pakistan.
