Public Holiday Declared for Youm-e-Takbeer by Govt

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared a public holiday for Youm-e-Takbeer on May 28 (tomorrow), commemorating Pakistan’s historic nuclear tests conducted in 1998.

During the tenure of the then PML-N government, Pakistan conducted successful nuclear tests in the hills of Chaghai, responding to India’s nuclear tests and marking the country’s emergence as the first Muslim nation to achieve nuclear power status.
