Punjab Assembly Passes Resolution for School Transport Cameras
The Punjab Assembly has passed a resolution urging the provincial government to install cameras in both public and private school transport vehicles. Maria Talal, who presented the resolution, emphasized the need to ensure children’s safety while traveling in school vans, buses, and rickshaws.
According to the text of the resolution, all school transport vehicles must be equipped with safety cameras linked to an integrated digital application. This would allow parents real-time monitoring of their children’s travel.
The lawmakers highlighted that this move is aimed at strengthening safety standards and providing greater reassurance to families throughout the province.
