Punjab Opens Bank Accounts For 12 Lakh Workers

In line with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s commitment, bank accounts have been opened for 1.2 million registered workers under the Ration Card Programme. A total of Rs22 billion has been transferred to these accounts.

Social Security Department Completes Account Opening Process

Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resources Punjab, Muhammad Manasha Allah Butt, stated that the account opening process across the province was completed swiftly by the Social Security Department.

Monthly Subsidy Of Rs3,000 Transferred Directly To Workers’ Accounts

The minister added that financial assistance is being provided to workers through the ration card system, in line with the Chief Minister’s vision of providing a monthly subsidy of Rs3,000 directly into their accounts. The Punjab government remains committed to providing maximum relief to labourers.
