Punjab Education Department Outsources Middle Schools

The Punjab School Education Department is set to outsource middle schools as part of its ongoing education sector reforms. Decisions regarding closures or outsourcing will be based on the 2025 school census.

Officials stated that schools with dangerous buildings will be immediately shut down, while those with poor performance and inadequate facilities will be outsourced. Selected institutions will also be included in the Nawaz Sharif School of Eminence category.

Schools with enrolment between 100 and 150 students are expected to be placed on the outsourcing list. The department has already outsourced around 13,000 schools previously.
