
Punjab Housing Minister Bilal Yasin reviewed security arrangements for Muharram processions in Lahore. The meeting included briefings from Lahore Deputy Commissioner Ali Ejaz on procession routes and majalis locations, as well as DIG Operations Faisal Kamran on security measures.
Officials confirmed that protective security around major processions is complete, with facilities like langar, drinking water, and milk distribution points for participants. Procession routes will be monitored via CCTV cameras, while security personnel are deployed at sensitive areas to ensure safety.
Yasin directed effective coordination among relevant departments including WASA, LWMC, PHA, MCL, Rescue services, and other institutions. Contingency plans have been implemented for emergency situations, with arrangements made for possible rainfall during processions and gatherings.
