Punjab Schools Switch to Four-Day Week, Sindh Retains Five-Days Schedule

Punjab School Education Department Announces Four-Day Week

The Punjab School Education Department issued a notification on Wednesday announcing a four-day school week across the province. Schools in Punjab will remain closed on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Classes will start at 8am from Monday to Thursday, while government and private schools will close at 1:30pm. In double-shift schools, the first shift will end at 12:30pm, while the second shift will run from 1pm to 5:30pm.

Meanwhile, schools in Sindh will continue to operate five days a week.
