Iran’s Parliament Speaker Baqer Qalibaf arrived in Switzerland to discuss implementing commitments under a Pakistan-mediated agreement with the US. The deal aims to end ongoing conflict following recent hostilities.

In a post on X, Qalibaf stated he regards the innocent children of Minab and all martyrs as constant witnesses to his actions. He vowed not to be ashamed before them, emphasizing God willing, he will uphold their expectations.

Qalibaf’s delegation, named “Minab 168,” arrived in Zurich for discussions on implementing obligations agreed between Iran and the US. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is also part of the delegation.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said the trip should not be seen as a new round of negotiations but rather focusing on compliance with existing commitments. He added that implementation must begin before broader talks can proceed, which has yet to happen. Baghaei also expressed concern over Israeli military activity in Lebanon, stating it undermined the first clause calling for cessation of hostilities across all fronts.
