For tonight’s Iftar and tomorrow’s Sehri, the fasting guidelines for Islamabad and Lahore have been determined. These rulings come from various schools of Islamic jurisprudence, providing local Muslims with insight into meal times during Ramadan.
According to Fiqh-i-Hanafi teachings for today, the Iftar call will be at 6:12 PM while tomorrow’s Sehri time is projected at 5:02 AM. The Hanafis set a slightly later time of 6:39 PM for Iftar and another Sehri coming in just after dawn at 5:28 AM.
The Jafari school, however, offers different timings. For today’s Iftar, they recommend setting off the call at 6:22 PM with tomorrow’s Sehri scheduled for a quarter before dawn at 4:52 AM. The Hanafis of this sect also propose an Iftar time of 6:52 PM followed by a Sehri at 5:24 AM.
In another iteration, Fiqh-i-Hanafi advises setting the Iftar bell to sound at 6:06 PM and having tomorrow’s Sehri call coming in just before sunrise. The Hanafis of this school suggest an Iftar time of 6:17 PM followed by a Sehri at 5:07 AM.
The Jafari sect’s timing shifts slightly with their Iftar set for 6:27 PM, which should be preceded by tomorrow’s Sehri call. According to them, it arrives just before dawn at 4:50 AM. The Hanafis of this school suggest an Iftar time of 6:38 PM and a Sehri coming in at 5:29 AM.
Lastly, for tonight’s Iftar, the Iftar bell will ring at 6:17 PM, followed by tomorrow’s Sehri call at 5:07 AM. The Fiqh-i-Jafari sets their Iftar time for 6:56 PM and recommends a Sehri coming in at 5:28 AM, just before the sun rises.
These timings serve as valuable resources for local Muslims navigating this religious observance with precision and devotion.
