
The Government of Punjab has announced a major administrative reshuffle in Rawalpindi Division. The officials affected include the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, City Police Officer, Additional Deputy Commissioner, and Assistant Commissioner.
Commissioner Muhammad Abdul Aamer Khattak is being transferred from his post to report further orders at Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD), Lahore. Deputy Commissioner Hassan Waqar Cheema has been replaced by Capt. (Retd.) Nadeem Nasir who will now serve as the new Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Capt. (Retd.) Sheheryar Sherazi is also being transferred to S&GAD, Lahore, with Capt. (Retd.) Tayyab Sami Khan taking over his position.
City Police Officer Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani has been transferred and directed to report at the Central Police Office, Punjab, Lahore. At the tehsil level, Assistant Commissioner Hakim Khan is being moved to S&GAD’s Administration Wing while Muhamamd Akhtar will serve as the new Assistant Commissioner Rawalpindi (Sadar). All orders are effective immediately.
