
Rayan Wazir, daughter of former ambassador Ayaz Wazir, died after her car reportedly crashed into footpath near Parade Ground. Rescue sources stated that the accident occurred when a vehicle allegedly went out of control due to overspeeding and mounted the footpath. The woman was reportedly using a mobile phone at the time of the incident.
She was identified as Rayan Wazir, daughter of former ambassador Ayaz Wazir. Her body was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital for necessary legal formalities before being handed over to her family. Police have launched an investigation into the accident. Authorities said incidents involving overspeeding and use of mobile phones while driving continue to be a significant road safety concern in Islamabad.
