Russell Crowe’s encounter with fans outside his Paris hotel sparked a heated exchange.
The actor, after emerging from the hotel, issued an emphatic warning: “Stay where you are, don’t f***ing push in on me. I’ll come to you! Give everybody space. As soon as somebody’s a d**k I’m gone.”
Variety reported that when one fan asked Crowe if he’d add his name “Maximus,” the character from Gladiator, to his signature, the actor declined and moved on.
Later, TMZ criticized Crowe on X, stating, “If you needed a reminder that fans are not always priority No. 1 — turn to Russell Crowe — cause the guy was absolutely not having it outside of his Paris hotel.”
Crowe responded by calling out the criticism as clickbait, asserting that all autographs and selfies were given, the path to the hotel remained clear for other guests, and he still reached the airport on time.
