Saudi Delegation Visits Pakistan for $200m Investment Talks

Federal Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh warmly welcomed a delegation from Kyan, Saudi Arabia, on their recent visit to Pakistan, highlighting the enduring brotherly ties between the two nations. During this visit, they participated in “Indus AI Week,” organized by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication.

The minister underscored the importance of deepening economic and investment collaboration with Saudi Arabia. The Kyan delegation was eager to explore new investment opportunities in sectors such as energy, mining, information technology (IT), agriculture, and livestock. They presented detailed proposals for potential projects estimated at a minimum of $200 million each, expressing enthusiasm about collaborating with additional Saudi investors.

Noting his background rooted in business, the minister emphasized Pakistan’s vast market prospects and strategic geographic location. With a population exceeding 250 million, Pakistan offers substantial growth opportunities. Additionally, its strategic position provides direct access to Central Asian nations, positioning it as an ideal hub for regional trade and investment.

Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh acknowledged that understanding investors’ needs is crucial for successful collaborations. He highlighted how Pakistan can facilitate joint ventures and strategic partnerships with Saudi Arabia. The minister’s remarks underscored the significant potential for mutually beneficial economic ties between these two countries.
